Privacy policy

What we see, what we store, and what we never touch.

TidyGram is a local desktop app. The short version of this policy is that almost nothing about your Telegram account ever leaves your computer. The long version is below.

Last updated: May 2026

The three things that matter

Runs on your device

TidyGram is a desktop app. Every action runs locally between your computer and Telegram's servers.

No account on our end

You do not create a TidyGram account. There is no server-side profile, no user database, nothing to leak.

We never see your data

Your phone number, login code, session file, and chat list never leave your machine.

1. Who runs TidyGram

TidyGram is a desktop application built and maintained by an independent developer. References to “we”, “us”, or “TidyGram” in this policy refer to that maintainer. Contact information is at the end of this page.

2. What information stays on your device

Everything tied to your Telegram account is stored locally on the computer that runs TidyGram. We do not have a copy of any of it. This includes:

  • Your phone number and the login code you receive from Telegram
  • The session file that keeps you signed in between launches
  • Your chat list, group membership, and message metadata
  • Filter preferences, selections, and queue history

The session file lives in your operating system’s standard app data directory. Deleting the app or signing out removes it.

3. What we receive on our end

We do not run a backend that mirrors your account. The only information that ever reaches us comes from two places:

  • Polar checkout - when you buy Pro, our payment provider sends us your email address and order ID so we can deliver a license key. We do not see your card details.
  • License activation - when you paste your key into the app, the app makes one network call to confirm the key is valid. We log the key, a hashed device identifier, and the timestamp. No Telegram data is included in that call.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not collect, sell, or share your Telegram data with third parties.
  • We do not analyze your messages, contacts, or group memberships.
  • We do not track your behavior inside the app with analytics SDKs.
  • We do not require an account on our website to download or use the app.

5. The TidyGram website

tidygram.site is a static landing page. It does not set third-party cookies and does not run behavioral analytics. We may add lightweight, privacy-respecting traffic measurement in the future - if we do, this section will list exactly what it measures and how to opt out.

6. Payments

Pro is processed by Polar. Polar is the merchant of record and handles your billing information under its own privacy policy. We receive only the minimum data needed to issue a license key.

7. Your rights

Because we hold so little data, most data-subject requests can be answered in a sentence. You may at any time:

  • Ask what we store against your email or license key
  • Request deletion of your purchase record (keeping in mind this may invalidate your license)
  • Withdraw your license activation by signing out of the app on every device

Email support@tidygram.site and we will respond within seven days.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note them in the changelog. Continued use of TidyGram after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact

Questions, concerns, or requests: support@tidygram.site.
